VES Land Trust Conserves 50 Acres on Nandua Creek
Virginia Eastern Shore Land Trust (VES Land Trust) helped permanently preserve 50 acres on Nandua Creek, including 35 acres of shrubs and grasses managed for wildlife habitat, with a conservation easement. This newest conservation easement reflects the landowner’s desire to preserve habitat for birds and other wildlife while allowing for single-family residential use of the property. Landowner and easement donor, Mr. Kent McNew, said, “I wanted to conserve as much of the beauty and sense of place for future generations to enjoy as I have been able to.”
